@ Sebastien P
I'm a beta internet user and I'm very impressed to be honest.
Having no issues. Internet networks easier than mobile networks maybe!12 -
I`m on Beta Residential Internet service with Fizz. 120/20. So far so good.
Experience was painless (really it was). Compared to mobile beta, Residential internet beta is a breeze.
Set it and forget it with their Hitron all in 1 device.
I'm currently using an Asus AC router as my router, and the Hitron device is just connected in bridge mode hosting internet only. Nothing else.
Aside from a bit of fiddling around in the Hitron menu to get it to work as I need it, everything has been super.
Speed test gives me between 120-130mbit dl, even during high traffic hours. Hasn't disconnected, since i"ve installed the service last week.
ANd today I just cancelled my internet service with Ebox (also was on the same 120/20 cable service).
Hope this helps4 -
I signed up for Beta Residential Service.
Tech came to deliver the modem (that Hitron all in 1 is MASSIVE). He tested the line on the post outside. But I also explained to him that I had at the time Ebox cable internet, so there shouldn't be any problems.
I configured the Hitron device in Bridge mode. All other services are being hosted by my Asus AC86 router.
Aside from the initial fiddling around in the config menus of the Hitron device to find the correct settings for Bridge mode, everything went very smoothly.
MUCH more smoothly than Beta Mobile!
So far so good, I get a clean 120-130 DL mbit speedtest even during peak hours. Located on the south shore. No disconnections as of yet since installing a week ago.
ANd I just canceled my service with EBOX 120/20 (Videotron cable).11 -
It is probably not the best idea to launch home internet until they get all the problems with the mobile network sorted out.10
