Not sure Fizz has any sort of hold program. Maybe let a family member use your SIM for a month and they can slip you a few bucks in return...13

I suggest you contact fizz on Facebook messenger with this link: https://m.me/fizzca13

I don't think there is any hold/pause feature. At least not that I've seen. You could change your plan to the minimum possible, with no prepaid voice, data, or minutes, but then you would lose launch pricing when you increased the plan upon your return.14

Or you can contact them via contact forms.12

It costs the provider to maintain a number so I don't think you will ever see a no-cost pause/hold here or anywhere else. (Even services like freephoneline.ca will cancel your account if you don't use their service for outgoing calls.)
Unfortunately this means you have to evaluate whether you can "break even" by keeping service while not being able to use it.14 -
I've looked everywhere I've even read the whole services agreement and I can't find anything.12

For Fizz, I don' they have hibernate feature. You may need pay monthly fee to keep your plan. Contact fizz by facebook. They answer very quick in day time.11
