Cant apply 500mb upgrade, anyone else?

so i waited to get to level 2 to get the 500mb upgrade instead. But I cant apply it to the unlocked area. It just does not apply. Any ideas?

Try incognito mode in chrome. It worked like a charm for me. Whereas normal browser wasnt.
