iMessage not activated?

I just got my number transferred and it’s working for calls but iMessage is not activated for my number. It just says “Waiting for activation”. How do I get this resolved? I have an iPhone XR. Thanks!

it can take upto a few days to get that activated. Try restarting your phone.

According to https://community.fizz.ca/questions/1812230-iphone-imessage-facetime-resolved, this should work. Try deactivating and reactivating it: http://selfsolve.apple.com/deregister-imessage/. If that doesn't work, contact support.

I had problems too, but it is resolved. I put it on wifi, activated iMessage. Then turned off wifi and it worked on both data and wifi.
