No the only choice you have is to choose a new number.

If you’re not on a beta plan, you could create a new account, order a new sim and activate it using your old number. If you time it with the end of your current cycle, you should be able to get the introductory plans with no extra cost (other than the new sim)

No. I have seen people gift over their data from one plan to another and close it. So you can create a new account with the number ported to that account, transfer the data from the account that you no longer want to the new one and be a little further ahead.
