SIM Card does not allow connection Error
I have received my SIM and set it up online, trying to port my number from Virgin, and when I complete the steps, I don't see Fizz in my network settings. I've got nothing. When i try to automatically connect, I get a brief popup error, "SIM Card Does Not Allow Connection to this Network". My drop down notification bar has an error, "Selected Network (Fizz) unavailable". I have also tried setting up the network settings manually and still nothing.
What is happening? My friend said he was at least getting network bars quickly. I'd love to be able to recommend this but at this point is it worth the headache?
Any ideas/help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you

I suspect that the number transfer is taking longer than expected. That seems to be a common problem today. Try your old sim--if it still works, the transfer is still in progress. You should get an email from fizz when it's done.6

virgin SIM card still working?7

In settings, under Network and Internet click on Mobile Network then on Advanced. You'll see Network, disable Automatically select network then click on Network just below it, this will make you phone search for the network and it's settings. You should see 2 options for Fizz, Fizz_ext and Fizz. Try Fizz first, and if necessary Fizz_ext after that. Let me know if that works for you.7

Can you connect if you turn off LTE?7
-
Also, what model phone are you using?6

I haven't tried turning LTE off as I wouldn't be using it without it at any given time. I did try turning the roaming on just to see if that would help and it didn't. I'll try without the LTE
I'm using a Pixel XL.7 -
I'm also getting a Notification Message saying SIM not provisioned for voice...
Going from LTE to 3G hasn't changed anything7 -
If that fails go to your phone dialer and enter the following:
*#*#4636#*#*
That will bring up the phone's test mode. Press on Phone Information. Scroll down until you see Mobile Radio Power and make sure it's toggled on. Exit testmode by hitting the back button twice.6 -
The power is on. Could it be that i might have typed in the imei number wrong? Am i able to check that and change it if need be?6

Thank Allison. Should I just be using the old sim until it stops working and hope the Fizz sim will work at that point or should I leave the Fizz SIM in as it's doing whatever it's doing?7

The old sim will stop working when the transfer is done, so it should be okay to keep using it for now. Fizz seems slow at transfering numbers today.5

It appears as though it was just a delayed connection. Overnight i received the text and email confirming the number port and after reboot i'm on Fizz.
Thanks all5
