Good morning @OverrRyde Yes, if you have a Canada/USA plan. The data will work in the USA without additional fees. When you run out, that is it, unless you buy more, or a Fizz customer gives you more, which is one of the great things about Fizz!

from support.google.com “When you use RCS chats, your messages are sent over Wi-Fi and mobile data. As long as you're connected to a Wi-Fi network that you don't have to pay to use, there should be no cost to send and receive messages. If your messages are sent using mobile data, the cost is based on your mobile data…

Good morning, voLTE does not use the traditional phone network, per se, it uses the data on the cell phone network. Therefore it is quite possible that the network you are connecting to is a Fizz internet network. It really just boils down to what name that node of the network has been given. They could name it “Fizz is…

Good morning, 302 991 is the mobile network code that the Halton Police Service uses for testing. Source: I wouldn’t worry at all about being on an EXT network, or the names of the ones you are connecting to. Despite being in a Fizz coverage zone, I and am always connected to EXT. Cheers, Brad

Indeed, I took the screenshot, while in my home, which is in the subscription area. (Winnipeg)

Good morning, I am on my second month with Fizz, and it always displays Fizz EXT Not to worry, if you are in the subscription zone when you received your sim, you are fine, as noted above. When I turn off auto on my iPhone, here are my choices :-)

Dang, that is too bad.

Hi @Vasiok From what I can tell, changing your QC plan to a Canada plan costs only 2 (two) dollars a month! THAT, is an outstanding deal!

Not available on my iPhone with the latest iOS. Since the alerts are required to be sent out by the CRTC, I suspect the setting to turn them off is removed for iOS users signed in with an Apple ID located in Canada.

I typically use about 2GB a month, BUT when I go on a road trip of thousands of kms, I can use 10GB plus in mapping, uploads of video to family and friends on social media etc. I know I could download maps offline, pausing social media syncing until wifi is available etc., but for the cheap price that Fizz offers for a 10…

As an iPhone user with the most current iOS, I can assure you that settings option displayed above does not appear on my iPhone. It is curious that the settings would be different in Canada vs the USA tho.

Good morning @ZakiZ It may well be that “Fizz” is not its own wireless carrier per se, but rather a marketing brand only, meaning it is operating under Videotron’s license. As for Emergency alerts, here is a snippet from the link below: “Given the importance of warning Canadians of imminent threats to the safety of life…
