Roaming Text

Hello, I am using my wallet to text locally and international. The transaction history shows ''Roaming Text'' even when I am texting a local number, is that normal? Is it always 5c to send a text either to local number or an international number?

Also, how do I find the Pay-as-you go rates in a travel destination? For instance, if I chose France, I only see add-ons, but no pay-as-you go rates.

    Hi, I'm not sure about rates, but you can check what network you're connected to, or disable roaming in SIM settings to test it.

    Provided that you haven't turned off Roaming Alerts in your plan's communication preferences, you will receive an email or text with the PAYG roaming rates when your phone first registers with a network at your travel destination. In most Western European countries, it is 3c per text, but it may vary in some countries. Incoming texts are still free.

    Use_code_VGTIB, same thing with Roaming on or off. My coverage is Canada, I am located in Quebec. When I send a text to Quebec city, it says Roaming text Quebec, when I send a text to International, it says Roaming text zone 2. The charge is 5c, either local or International text.

    And did you check if your phone is registered to network "Fizz", as opposed to "Fizz_EXT" or another?

    Yes, it has always been registered to Fizz, not Fizz_EXT.

    I am wondering if it is indicating roaming text because I bought a roaming add-on for an upcoming trip, or what it should it be indicating next to the texts transaction, as I am still in Canada?

    I just checked and mine says "Outgoing text messages... Pricing category
    Local".
    Of course, unlike you I don't currently have an add-on.
