How to save money using Fizz
If I don't choose voice mail, is that ok? I am not a busy person.
Any other idea?

Hi,
If you're in Quebec or Ontario you can also remove Unlimited calls and Unlimited texts from your plan and use pre charged wallet for pay-per-use.
Also make sure to check plans and prices every so often because prices vary and you might see a better deal which you can then switch to.0 -

Hello,
You can just get a data package. Then for calls you can use any data appps eg. telegram, for actual calls to a number use free textnow(you get a free local number) or free fongo(you get a free local number).

Oh, and also, textnow you can make free calls to most of North America. Cheers

They have a FAQ that describes ways to keep Fizz mobile setvices down. Step 5 of that article suggests for you to Analyze your plan.
Figure out what you really need in your mobile plan by asking yourself a few questions:
- Do you actually need calling minutes?
- Is going without text messages something to consider (knowing all incoming texts are free)?
- Can you reduce your plan coverage?
- Do you really need mobile data, or can you use your home Wi-Fi?
- If you need mobile data, can you reduce the amount of data you pay for each month thanks to data rollover, data gifting or upgrades and perks from the My Rewards program?
The idea is to remove any superfluous stuff. Pay only for what you really need. Your plan is 100% customizable at all times.

If you have at least one completed month with Fizz, go into Manage My Plan, then Data Usage Report. You can then see your actual usage over the past 6 months.
If you're in Ontario or Québec the wallet is great for those with minimal usage of calls and/or texts. It is 5 cents per text and 10 cents per call within your region (provincial, national or Canada + US). If you are outside of ON / QC and/or have moderate usage, an add-on can save you money compared to unlimited calls or texts.
You can also maintain a minimal level of data and request it from others as needed (in the data gifting area) or add data some months and then remove it other months until you need more.

What customers want is how to save with Fizz,
while what Fizz wants is how to make customers spend more...
(Have you noticed how the plans keep changing time by time...)

The two best things about Fizz are
1. You can get a data plan without first having to pay for unlimited talk+text+voicemail and nationwide coverage like you'd have to with the other carriers. If you are in ON or QC, you even still have access to all of those features for occasional pay-as-you-go use.
2. You can limit the amount of monthly data in your plan because, with rollover and gifting, Fizz has two excellent safety net features when it comes to running out of data.0 -
Its 2026, if people can't reach you they will text or email.0
