Can't change mobile plan to promo plan

Long time customer here, I want to sign up for the 5g discovery plan, how can I? In account there is no option. Do I need to sign up for new number?

    Im not sure how dose it work but for new customers if the plan with 30gb and more it’s 5g if its less than 30gb plan will be LTE , mine is 25 gb, and its fast enough for me i don’t know how fast it will be with 5g.

    Yeah you need a new number unfortunately because discovery implies that it's just for new installations

    You need assign a new number to get the 5g discovery plan.

    It might be worth it to cancel and port out and back.
    NOTE: other companies DON'T give you a free trial.
    I saved about $20 doing it, hardly worth it but I thought other companies would give a pro-rated refund (they don't).
