Switching to new e-SIM only phone from current phone with physical SIM?

Hi all,

I'm about to get a new phone that only accepts e-SIMs. My current phone is using a physical SIM from FIZZ (but it also has a spare e-SIM slot).

What is the easiest and quickest way to transition from my old phone (physical SIM) to my new phone (e-SIM)?

Thanks in advance

    Good morning @obsydion
I just did this moving from an iPhone 12 sim to an iPhone 17 eSIM.
The process was straight forward, but I did have one snag at the end - my phone would not establish a connection to the fizz network.
I started a convo with Fizz support. The solution for me was to restart the phone.
But, please be patient, follow the steps exactly and whatever you do, DO NOT delete your eSIM trying to fix the problem. Deleting the eSIM will make success significantly more difficult, per the Fizz instructions.
    Cheers,
    Brad

Hi Brad, thanks for posting your experience! Do you mind detailing the steps you went through? I assume you click on My Plans > Manage my plan > Change my SIM > Order and activate an eSIM?

    Hi @obsidion
Yep, that is exactly what I did and like I mentioned the only problem I had was when it was all done, the phone would not connect to Fizz, but a reboot solved it and it connected.
Hate to repeat myself , but do not delete the eSIM you install and try again.
    Cheers,
    Brad

You need wait for 30 minutes to let it activate.
