port forwarding rule not working anymore

I was recently using successfully port forwarding on my Hitron modem-router to allow traffic from WAN to LAN but it seems that in the last few weeks, it stopped working. I unfortunately have no access to any of the modem logs so I cannot tell if the port that I want to be open from the WAN is now blocked by the ISP (Fizz) or if my modem is blocking it.

    There could be many things.
-Did your Public IP address change?
-Are you forwarding to a Windows machine? If yes, is you Windows defender Firewall allowing the traffic (both private and public)?
-Are the port(s) that you forwarding greater than 1023?

Check your settings if it's still there.

    It did not.

Windows defender Firewall is turned off, I verified blocked connections logs, nothing is blocked. I also ran a wireshark capture, not seeing any incoming packets on the LAN port configured in the port forwarding rule.
-Are the port(s) that you forwarding greater than 1023? Yes. I've tried other ports, same.

UPDATE: tried one more time after posting the question on Dec 5th and now it... works. My modem was rebooted (ran out of power for a few minutes on Dec 6th) in between so that could be the reason. Or else something has been done at the ISP level.

Nice that your issue was finally resolved.
