    You can't forward your calls to an international number. It's always better to buy a local SIM/eSIM card while travelling.

    @zarazara: You may want to check out Fizz' offer for your destination country first. Fizz recently added voice roaming and the prices are reasonable. You can then just use your Fizz SIM card. Depends of course on how many minutes you are expecting use over there.

    I disagree that local SIM/eSIM card is "always" better while travelling. Takes some time and work to set them up, really depends on if this is a one-time trip to one destination and whether you think, it is worth the extra effort. For limited use, Fizz' roaming addons are quite reasonable now (the lowered the prices for many countries recently). The local sim option makes more sense, if travel between multiple countries in the EU (because of the free EU-wide roam-like-home you get with a local sim) or if you keep having recurring visits to the same location(s).

    If you want to go the VoIP option, make sure to subscribe to a VoIP provider that has Canadian phone numbers. As @Andrei_ref_R7VK1 has mentioned, you can't forward anywhere else. Only use the 21 forwarding codes from the FAQ. Set the call forward before leaving Canada. You connect to your VoIP provider over the Internet from Europe without incurring additional charges. Often VoIP providers have their own apps for this. All you need is data access, WiFi will work.

    You can forward your calls to a Voip number of cananda(Fongo). So you can receive calls when you connect internet.

    Hi @zarazara
    I just got back from Europe. Used the Fizz data only addons. Worked well and are competitively priced.
    What I found interesting was if I had an incoming call, I would receive a text from fizz (inbound text are always free) telling me that I didn’t have minutes to answer a call.
    If the caller left voice mail the text would state that.
    I then bought a few minutes to check the voice mail.
    Not an answer to your question but I thought perhaps you would find the info useful.
