If I don’t have any minutes or add on for calls in my plan, can I still call 911 if required ?

Since you can call 911 at any time, even without an active SIM card, I would think YES.

Yes, you can call 911 without a Fizz call plan, as emergency calls are free and 911 calls are prioritized. However, if your phone is not VoLTE-compatible with Fizz, you may not be able to make emergency calls once Fizz has completely phased out its 3G network, which is happening now.

Yes, you can call 911 from a mobile phone without active minutes or a plan, as these calls are free and do not count against your plan's minutes.

Calls to 911 are free and work even without a SIM card or active plan, as the law requires wireless carriers to transmit these calls. However, be aware that limited information may be transmitted to the emergency center, and the carrier may not be able to call you back if the connection is lost.

If you are in an area where the 3G network has been deactivated, the 911 service will not work.

"Mobile 911" refers to the emergency call service accessible from a mobile phone. It allows you to contact the police, fire department, or ambulance in an emergency. It is essential to dial 911 only in a genuine emergency and to provide your name, phone number, and location to the operator, even with advanced services (E911) that transmit location automatically.

Good to known: you can call 911 without a phone plan using a cell phone, as all wireless phones can make an emergency call, even without a SIM card or an active service plan.

I'm not so sure since 3G is shutdown. Your phone must be Volte certified ( but to which Network ? ).

The least you need to test is to see if your phone is Volte certified with Fizz by dialing #8378 ( it's free )

In this case, you will not have any problems with the 911 service even if the 3G network has been dismantled!

Good to know. Didn't think of that before. Thank you!
