How can I get calls while outside the county ?

I will be traveling outside Canada for 3 months (In Europe and Middle East) and I would like to keep my FIZZ number active in order to receive calls and messages. It's something very important for me to keep receiving calls on my phone while my outside the country.

I'm using an eSIM and the roaming is on all the time on my phone.

My question is: Is there any suggestion or advice about this point on how to receive calls ? I know that sms are always for free if I'm not wrong.

Thanks in advance guys!

You can't do that directly with Fizz. Fizz Roaming outside of Canada+US is limited to data and text messages.

What you can do is get a temporary Canada number from a VoIP provider, access that VoIP service with data, Fizz data travel-addon, or WiFi if you have it at your destination. Then forward your Fizz number to that temporary VoIP number and you'll be able to receive calls.

You can get messages, no calls.

There are several travel add-ons options for calls in multiple countries since September. Go to your account Plans -> Manage my plan -> Travel add-ons -> choose the destination country and see what are the options for calls.

@Andrei_ref_R7VK1 is right. The ability to make and receive calls in International Roaming has recently been added to Fizz. Check the travel-addons for what exactly is available in your destination countries. Please note, you need minutes for both incoming and outgoing calls. Receiving text messages is free. Outgoing texts can be funded through the wallet and are 3c per text in a lot of European countries. Don't know about Middle East though. Make sure, all of your destination countries are listed under travel-addons. If a country is not listed, you probably won't be able to get roaming service there.
