No, the forum points are separate from the reward points. However, some activities on the forum will (also) give you reward points, including answering a question within 5 minutes.
This is the list of all forum activities that will earn you reward points:
- Reply
- Answer in less than 5 minutes
- Daily leader
- Weekly leader
- Monthly bonus
- Monthly leader
- Earn “Accepted Solution” (best answer)

Community forum points contribute to rewards, but cannot be the only source to receive a reward.
And answering in less than five minutes gets you more points than an answer after five minutes. Unfortunately the answer doesn’t have to be remotely useful to get the points, so you will see a few posts within five minutes that are of no help.

Yeah and it can be quite hard, there no desktop notification and sometimes it can take 5min juste to write the answer
