Is it possible to block international calls? Is it possible to block calls from other provinces?
Good morning y'all
My cell phone number is probably on multiple lists on the Dark Web as I receive a LOT of scam calls.
Since most of them are either calling from foreign countries or from other provinces (and that I have 0 legitimate reason to receive a call from these places in the first place), I'd very much like to know if it is possible for me to
1) block 100% of international calls?
2) block 100% of calls coming from outside Quebec province?
Many thanks in advance

Good morning!
You can block calls from other provinces by adding specific numbers to your phone's block list, or by using a prefix to block entire area codes, although this can be difficult and may not cover all calls. Fizz also automatically implements a universal call blocking feature that blocks calls that don't comply with international standards.

To block spam calls, enable the Caller ID and Spam Protection feature in the Phone app settings and choose to block unwanted calls

The phone I have (Pixel 6) doesn't have that functionnality (use a prefix to block entire area codes) but your answer made me think to check for an app that could do it.
I looked at a few different ones but found their subscription models to be too expensive for my taste, and ended up installing "Calls Blacklist" (which has a "premium" 2$ one-time payment option).
I was able to add a bunch of area codes to the blacklist;
now I only need to wait to see if it actually works!0 -

Also keep in mind, that these apps would be able to collect data about all the phone numbers calling you and how often.

Well, but maybe your (genuine) callers think differently...

Well, but maybe your (genuine) callers think differently...So, what you're saying is that I should simply give up and accept to receive these scam & spam calls, in order to protect the hypothetical privacy of the few people who are legitimely calling me? Real question, trying to understand what would be an acceptable solution in your mind?
In order to block a random app from learning how often my wife, my kids or the garage is calling me?
I reached out to Fizz support and they have no clue what to do about this and/or are unable to do anything about it.

Another option is to block call from unknown caller, they will be redirected to your voicemail. But I agreed using 3th party app is not ideal, if you have too much spam it may be your only option

I dont have voicemail, and blocking 'all unknown caller' is a great way to miss a call from my kid's school, the dentist or other random (but legitimate) call, from places I don't already have saved in my contacts

True and health care caller are all anonymous, this is why I don’t block, but there not many options. I don’t have much spam, maybe 1 per month and I block them one by one, I always wait for someone to talk first so they don’t get my voice and don’t flag me as keep spamming.
