How many languages can you speak?
Learning new languages not only helps with communication but also benefits the brain.

Two, not including Klingonese.

When you study and use different languages, your brain constantly switches between linguistic systems. This process works like mental exercise — it enhances neural connections and increases gray matter density in areas related to attention and memory. In bilingual or multilingual people, the prefrontal cortex (the part of the brain responsible for planning and decision-making) becomes more active and efficient.

Klingon is a constructed language developed by linguist Marc Okrand for the Star Trek franchise, meant to sound "alien" and feature unusual grammar.

I can recommend you to re-watch your favorite tv show in french, better than a movie because you have time to get use of each voice
That’s a great idea.

It should! In particular, the ability to think logically and express the logic in an algorithm is a significant achievement (IMO, of course!)

My native language is English. I speak enough French to have argued with an officer of the Gendarmerie (in France) over his refusal to sign a form I needed. Took about 15 minutes to persuade him.
And I speak enough Spanish to go to the local market in Mexico on my own to do basic shopping. Also enough to tell people that I have no way of helping them to enter the US
Not sure if I should count them, but I have a few phrases I can say in German; and in Mandarin, I can say that I'm your friend, I'm your baby, I'm busy, I'm coming, and I don't speak Mandarin.
IMO, the first thing to learn in any language is how to say "I don't speak [insert language here]".
e.g., "wo bu hui shuo guóyǔ" - I don't speak Mandarin, in Mandarin. You get some funny reactions that way.0 -
