One account, two lines - advantages and disadvantages

Can anyone please share their experience with having two or more lines under one account. Easy account management seems to be the number one advantage. What are others?
Also, does a discovery promo (50% off for 6 months) apply for an account or lines on that account? I mean if I have two lines each line would get 50% off, right?

    I don't know about the discovery discount, you would have to try that. You can still opt for that 2nd account, if you see during the order process, that the discount is not being applied for the 2nd line.

    In general, the most important aspect to think about is whether the two or more lines will always be managed together or if you may at some point want to separate them (kids growing up, relationship ending, etc.). With Fizz, you can't move an existing line into a new account, so if the plans are going to be used by different people, I'd advise against putting them in the same account.

    Also, there aren't too many advantages other than account management to have multiple lines in the same account. Fizz allows data gifting between any two lines, same account or not, it is not like with other carriers where lines have to be in the same account to enable data sharing.

    Discovery discount on your plan (if applicable) (1)
    A Discovery discount is applied to any new mobile plan activated in eligible regions. This offer is subject to change without notice. The Discovery discount is applied to the regular price of your mobile plan, and will be automatically applied every month, for 6 months, starting on the day your SIM card is activated. Requires a compatible device. Should you change your plan, the discount will be applicable to your new plan for the number of months remaining in those initial 6 months. Once your Discovery discount comes to an end, the discount will be automatically removed, and your plan will switch to its regular price. Only one recurring discount may be applied to a plan at any one time. Any new recurring discount you are eligible for will replace a recurring discount that is already applied, and you’ll receive a new services agreement.
