Hi, anyone have a chinchilla as a pet?
I love chinchillas I’ve had two they are very cool and unique pets. I would save more for adults . share your love for chinchillas here if you like !

They have the softest fur. I had one. Very quirky personality. very independent . But once they bond with you...its takes a while... they are amazing. and they live much longer then other rodents. up to about 15 years!.

LOve chinchillas! they are like a popple that has come to life! They make me thing of my neighbour totorro and also some weird cute gargoyle LOL

They are sweet, but like most rodents if they don't like the company they will go on terminator mode.

Funny you say looks like a mouse. They kinda do but much bigger! lol. like they have the proportions of a mouse , with a hairy tail lol but scaled up the size of a grapefruit lol

I didn't know you could have chinchillas as a pet (or even know they existed) until grade 9, when a classmate showed me a video of hers taking a dust bath.

Same hereI I had a coworker who loved chinchillas and would tell me all these cool facts about them. I've had mine for about 8 years. She is a standard coloured chinchilla. She likes to just hang out sometimes sitting like a Totoro lol. Other times she's like a furry sleepy gargoyle keeping watch over me LOL.

They are truly unique pets. Their huge personalities and incredible agility are captivating to watch. The way they meticulously hold a treat with their tiny hands is just adorable.
