Deadline to change plans. Will Fizz offer something cheaper for 1GB plan than $12?

I'm currently on an old $5 plan. It comes with 0GB, 0 voice, 0 text, 0 voicemail.
But now I plan to switch to a $12 plan, which is 1GB, 0 voice, 0 text, 0 voicemail.

Any changes to my plan will come into effect Sept 12 2025.
Question 1: When is the deadline to make any changes to my plan?
Question 2: How likely will it be, from now till whenever the deadline is, that Fizz Corp will drop the price of a 1GB data-only plan from $12 to something cheaper

    If in Ontario/Québec, the freeze period basically starts at 12 noon five days before your new billing cycle starts. I doubt, price will drop before Sep 12, we are basically at the end of "back-to-school" and have basically seen no discounts in the market whatsoever.
    Back in March, 1GB was $6...
    You also have an option to work with Fizz Rewards. You should have 250MB monthly from when you joined, another 250MB will come your way a rewards level 2 which is easy enough to reach. Then you'll have 500MB. However, still can't accept any data gifts.

    Hello, you need to do them 108 hours or 4,5 days before your freeze period or the billing date.It's hard to say here what the chances are that it will decrease. Only Fizz does it with the return that is coming soon. ...

    1) FIzz has a freezing period of 4.5 days
    2) you can change again and again excluding the 4.5 days before the next billing cycle
