Hey Folks!

I accidentally left my phone in my rental car and although I am getting it back, I'd like to use an old phone for the next week or so until it arrives? Is it possible to just move the eSim to another device and then transfer it back, please?

Virtually all carriers, including Fizz, issue a new eSim profile when a customer wants to transfer their plan to a different phone. So, you would have to change to a new eSim profile twice. You should talk to https://fizz.ca/en/support to see if this is possible to do twice in a week with Fizz. Other carriers are known to limit how frequently you can have them generate new eSim profiles, for example to once per billing cycle.

If this is an option in your case, consider transferring to a physical sim, then you only need to go through the sim card change process once and can transfer the new physical sim card over to primary phone once you have it back.

You would have to log into Fizz and create a new ESIM. You cannot just transfer it to this phone and then back. You will have to create another separate one.

Thanks appreciate the help. Turns out that my old phone isn't eSim compatible anyway, so I think it's as fast to wait for my phone to arrive, than order and wait for a new physical sim.
