Android Game Lag & High Data Usage on Fizz - Is This Normal?

Hi everyone,

I have a question about my experience with mobile gaming on my Android phone.

I've been playing a few games lately and noticed two things:
1. My mobile data seems to be draining much faster than I expected, even for games that don't seem that complex.
2. I sometimes experience random lag spikes, even when I have full LTE bars.

Is this a common thing on the Fizz network? I'm wondering if Fizz's network has some kind of throttling for games, or if certain types of games are just known to be data-hungry.

I was trying to find games that are optimized for lower data usage and saw this site recommended somewhere: Modhello io It looks like a simple directory, but I'm not sure if I can trust their "low-data" claims. Has anyone here had better luck with specific types of games or found a reliable source for lightweight games?

Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

    Hi @Kunar7869

The lag can depend from your location, at the moment Fizz mobile data are sent to Montreal before the final destination
Regarding the usage, this is very difficult to know depends on from the game and also if you are using a Fizz or Fizz Ext. Video apps, including games with ads or streams, may auto‑adjust quality based on connection. On a faster network, they’ll stream more data per time unit .

Hi, yes the game with update, ads and other it's normal you have High Data Usage.

You also need to be careful; there are games that contain malware which can perform cryptomining. I'm not saying this is your case, but check the game's reputation, and if you want to install an antivirus.
