    5G and 4g VOLTE

    In several places, 5G is not available. It works on 4G VOLTE.

    I agree with you guys! 5G maybe needed in the future. I was with 5G service before, but, after switching to Fizz, I dont miss out a lot, imo!
    VoWiFi is needed more, just tin case, if you are in an area, with limited coverage, so you can work on something!
    I guess some Fizzers mentioned that they starting seeing 5G symbol in QC/ON, not sure where?
    Maybe they are testing & we are up for some treat, in the near future haha

    I'm seeing 5G right now on my phone and I was surprised. I went here to see if Fizz has more information about a network update. Personnally I'm in QC

    As per my understanding 5G drains battery fast. Even earlier when I used a 5G provider I used to select LTE to keep my phone charge lasts longer.
    Honestly I didn’t find much difference with LTE and 5G. With Fizz lte I am paying half of my monthly bill which I use to pay with other provider.

    Vidéotron (parent company of Fizz) is deploying 5g so eventually, it will come to Fizz as well. You just need to be patient.

    Oh wow. That's good to hear. Lets see how soon haha. Other flanker brands, for example - Public Mobile has 5G and competing with Fizz

    I know I know… people will be like well do you really need 5G? LTE Speeds are good for 99% of what we do everyday but it seems like having 5G is a very important deciding factor when switching networks.
    It would be smart for Fizz to launch 5G in the near future as the competition is heating up and 5G seems to be a big deciding factor for people considering a switch from their current company. It seems to give people a sense of trust.

    Smart for them to be thinking about the future and wanting the latest features. If their provider and their phones support it, then why not use the newer infrastructure and technology?

    Fizz is always 3 steps behind the other big name telecom companies, despite being a subsidiary of Videotron. I'm still waiting on Wi-Fi calling as a feature...

    They have 5G but normally the sub-networks limit the speed...

    Agreed, but 250Mbps isnt a bad idea though haha. Lets see what Fizz has in store for us!
