For the Pixel 9A - the Fizz purchase price is $110 higher than current market value. While you still save money over 2 YR plan, the savings are not as advertised.

Hi, if this phone has a discount for 2 years, you need to calculate the amount you pay including the additional price and see if it's worth it.

    Hello @tresbizy
I bough this phone from Fizz at an advertise price of 800$. If I substract the discount for 24 months (6gb phone plan) the phone cost me 530$. This Pixel 9a is advertise elsewhere at 679$ so I save 149$. Great phone with free delivery.

Yes, it seems a good deal with promotion.

Keep in mind thought that this "locks" you in with Fizz for 24 months if you want to take advantage of the whole discount. Even taking advantage of a Fizz promotion in the next 24 months, where you might move to a promoted Fizz plan that is cheaper than your current plan, will lower the discount you receive.

    That's true.

If I change for a 5$ less plan in the next two years, I will save (60% × 5$) 3$ more anyway.

It depends on your plan and how much you value the Fizz account points.

For me it was cheaper to get my phone through the Google store because I didn't plan on changing my plan because it was enough for what I need. I would've ended up paying ~$100 more if I bought through Fizz.

If you change your plan to include more data it can be worth it but you will have to play around with the sliders to get the "savings" you want but it encourages getting a higher data plan.

Do keep in mind that when your discount expires in 24 months the plans may not be that great at that time and incentivizes you to buy a new phone every 2 years to maintain the discounts or switch to the best plan that fits your use case.
