Roll over data question

I am currently on a provincial plan (Ontario). I am planning on travelling to Alberta in two weeks. My new payment cycle is in 7 days so I can change my plan soon. I have quite a bit of data that will roll over. If I change my plan to Canada wide talk and text, will I be able to use my roll over data in Alberta? Thanks

Yes, data roll over will take on the attributes of your new plan. However, your old plan may no longer be available or may no longer be offered at the same terms afterwards.

Yes, the data will roll over to your new plan. But change it soon as it must be done at least SIX days before your current plan expires.

“ Good to know: Keep in mind the freeze period during which your plan cannot be modified. Ideally, aim to submit your changes when there are at least six (6) days left in your current payment cycle. How can you know? Go in Your account > My plans. Look right under your monthly price and you will see the days remaining in your payment cycle. ”

The policy that states your rollover data remains is here:

    Hi
Change your plan today, you cannot change it 6 days before the next billing cycle, (in some place Fizz wrote 4.5 days,, but don't risk since in other places they wrote 6 days)

Thanks for the responses. So my data that is currently under a provincial plan (Ontario) will work in Alberta once its rolled over? If I change to a Canada wide talk and text plan with no data, will the rolled over data from the prior billing cycle that was under an Ontario only plan work in Alberta? Thanks again.

Yes the rollover will work on your coverage, therefore, if you change with data or not, you will be able to use the rollover, a mobile plan without data cannot receive gifted data.. If possible I will take a minimum data plan, in this way if you need data you can ask for a gift

Here is the FAQ that states that rollover data remains available after a plan change, even if the new plan does not include any data.

As others have said, you can change it and data will be valid Canada-wide. However, keep in mind that you could loose you plan forever if it's not offered when you want to switch back to it (if you want to switch back).
