Fizz Home Internet + TV in Montreal
I’m moving in June, and I was looking at Fizz for home internet and TV.
For the internet, I’m seeing a lot of negative comments concerning the provided modem/router combo. Is this that bad ? Will the modem work better with a separate router? I work from home so my internet needs to be reliable.
Also, the Fizz TV is really a good price mostly for sports. How is the quality ? Is it full HD at least?
Thanks!

Hi, The modem/router I would go with an external router and I would unplug the modem every week to keep it in good shape. Clear the cache.
For Full HD it's standard so probably 1080i and 720P depending on the case.
This 1080P does not exist in normal channels on providers currently.
No 4K at Fizz.
You can't try 15 day. Read This (Number 4): https://fizz.ca/en/faq/unsubscribe

Hi @navy438
Fizz is testing a new equipment, but at the moment nobody know when this will be available.
Regarding the negative comment, you are reading a support form where people are coming here to ask to solve a problem.
Having internet, tv and mobile with Fizz I can say, internet is working well but you are right the modem has an average wifi, therefore, I am using my own router which give me more functionality and wifi coverage.
To use with your own router is easy, you need to configure the modem in bridge mode.
Regarding the TV is working, the quality seems to be FHD0 -
I don't have tv. I do have internet connection and it has always been stable and reliable. If you need to cover a bigger apartment I would suggest to use the Fizz modem in bridge mode and use a third party router for wifi to have a good coverage

If you want to save money, choose Fizz. If you prefer quality, go with videotron or Bell.
