Wifi keeps dropping

Hi @lightbird
If your Wi-Fi keeps dropping and speeds are significantly lower than your 200 Mbps plan, here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot and potentially resolve the issue:
- Restart Your Modem and Router: Unplug your modem and router from the power outlet, wait for about 30 seconds, and then plug them back in. This can often resolve temporary connectivity issues.
- Ensure that all cables, especially the coaxial and Ethernet cables, are securely connected and not damaged. Loose or damaged cables can lead to connectivity problems.
- If restarting doesn't help, consider performing a factory reset on your modem. Use a small, sharp object to press and hold the reset button on the back of the modem for 10 seconds. Note that this will erase any custom settings, so you'll need to reconfigure your network afterward.
- Band steering can sometimes cause devices to switch between 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands, leading to instability. Disabling this feature can help maintain a consistent connection.
- Interference from neighboring Wi-Fi networks can affect your connection. Access your modem's settings and try switching to a less congested Wi-Fi channel.
- Observe the lights on your modem. If the second and third lights from the top are not solid blue, there might be a signal issue from your provider's end.

I would try connecting through a cable and doing a speedtest to understand if the issue is coming from wifi

Everyday my wifi drops multiple times. I restart it, reset it, and even contacted fizz privately. The problem is persisting. I have the 200 Mbps plan, but it keeps dropping to lower than 10 (according to wifi speed tester). Is it a problem with the modem?Ask support to check your signal to confirm if it complies with the standards!
