iMessage - No Longer Registering after removing SIM Card

Hello,

During vacation for two weeks I had removed my Fizz SIM card to use a local SIM card while I was out of country. I came back and both my Wife and I's Fizz SIM cards no longer will register with iMessage. I have tried the following and none of these have solved the issue.

-Resetting network settings
-Logging out and into Apple ID
-Disabling and Reenabling iMessage/Facetime
-Removing and putting the SIM back in.
-Rebooting the phone several times.

It has been 48 hours since the SIM card was put back in our phones and we both still get Activation Unsuccessful iMessage error

    Hi @schnobbc

I am reading multiple people having similar issue, I am not sure that this is a Fizz problem.

I read in another post, that after couples of days the iMessage was register, did you try to use your Apple account to sign in?

Some extra step that you can try

In Settings > Messages > Send & Receive, confirm that your phone number is listed and selected under "You can receive iMessages to and reply from".

Go to Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings. (this will reset your Wi-Fi networks and passwords, cellular and bluetooth settings)

You can also contact Fizz's support https://fizz.ca/en/support

    Good. Or I g @schnobbc

Consider using an email address as your primary iMessage contact.
I have found that it is more convenient to use an email address (the one you use to log into your Apple ID for iMessages) instead of a phone number. This way, it doesn’t matter which SIM card you are using, as iMessages can be data driven.

    Cheers,

    Brad

it’s been a week now. My iMessage and FaceTime are not working. (Though it’s working with my email id) Fizz needs to fix this bug
