SIM to eSIM options
I am wondering, given that my son (who is within my Fizz plans) purchased a US phone that do not have a physical SIM slot... what are my options? Do I create a new plan then transfer his previous number to this new one, then cancel the old plan? Anyone has done this, or have a better idea to share?

Your option is to create a new plan, however, you cannot transfer a plan to another at the moment Fizz doesn't allow it. You can port the number to another provider and after porting it back

Hi, before buying a phone, check that it is compatible with the FIZZ list. The end of 3G is coming soon in Canada and is no longer functional in the USA.

It is not possible to make a transfer at the moment by ourselves. See with support if possible if not, you will have to open a new account.

I’m in the same boat and this is absolutely bonkers. Bought a US phone with no sim slot, Fizz is telling me I cannot transfer my current number to an eSIM, but I could port a non-fizz number to an eSIM. If I have to change providers, why would I bother coming back to Fizz? Other provider is cheaper anyway and I’ve only stayed with fizz out of convenience…

It is the SIM to eSIM transfer option that is not yet functional but it will come.
