Hello, Happy Holidays.
Just a quick question, if I want to gift some data to my friend, but their fizz plan has no mobile data included, can they still receive and use the data from my side?
I noticed that to receive the My Rewards program, even the user has no mobile data included, they can still activate an upgrade for data, all they need to do is to configure their APN setting, I assume this would be the same for my friend to use the gift data from me, but am not 100% sure, can some help here? Thanks.

Sorry you cannot, in order to be able to receive gifted data you need to have a data plan
What is data gifting and how does it work?The perks and bonuses can be used without any problem when they are in an account. Sometimes, Fizz gives us perks that we can share with users who don't have data. However, perks like the 20 GB (for example) cannot be shared.

Hi,
I recently asked customer service something similar and they confirmed data from upgrades perks and rollovers will remain active regardless of the data billing in plan.
Upgrades should remain active for 2 years since obtained, perks have shorter terms.0 -
