How do you reply to a comment and do you have to go all the way down to comment on a post?

Hi,
- How do I reply to a comment?
- I wanted to reply to a comment on a discussion, but there is no "reply" button. Do I just write another comment and click on "Quote"?
- Do you have to go all the way down to comment on a post?
- On a post with a lot of comments, I needed to go all the way down the page to comment. Is it necessary or it there a faster way? There was about 30k comments, it took a long time to get to the commenting section.

1a) some discussion are closed therefore you cannot reply to itThe one open yes you write and click post, for sure you can quote the previous post
2a) yes you need to scroll down this is supposed to force people to read the previous posts
For the referral post go directly to the last page and go to the bottom

i just did scroll too. but if post goes for many pages then you go to 'last page'

I hope they can improve the reply system

For me, pressing the Ctrl + Page Down Arrow button on the keyboard at the same time will take me to the bottom of the page; it's quicker than scrolling down the with mouse/touchpad.

CTRL+Page Down for me switching between tabs with Ms Edge.
