On Android you can go under settings - connections - data usage - allowed networks for apps and configure for each whether they can use WiFi, Mobile data, or both
Just restrict the apps that you don't need on modile to WiFi only.
there is no need for any optimizations really. if you run out of data, ask people to gift some. if you find you dont use as much data, you can gift to others who ask.
Configure data on GPS positions, apps, etc.
Ex.: For me, 15 or 16 meg day to 5 or 6 only Once properly set up
Close all of possible. Update with Wifi if possible..
Also:
- Use browsers like Google Chrome or Opera Mini, which have data-saving modes that compress images and webpages.
- Turn off automatic app updates and syncs. Update apps manually when connected to Wi-Fi.
- Set lower streaming quality for apps like YouTube, Netflix, or Spotify to reduce data usage.

enable power saving mode to reduce unnecessary data consumption for apps running in background : you can save some data over time and also expand your battery life cycle.
disable unnecessary apps you have never or rarely use or simply uninstall them (free up space, reduce clutter, improve security,)
update your apps regularly as well as your OS
prefer a security-focused browser such as Brave or DuckDuckGo to reduce unnecessary requests made by ads.
change permissions for apps, by default they are very permissive : apply the least privilege principle.
