Receiving texts/SMS messages in Europe
I will be traveling to Europe for a few weeks. Most banking apps and many other apps require two-factor verification these days by texting you are code. I need to know if I will receive these text messages while in Europe (Greece more specifically).
I plan to have my phone on me with the Gizz SIM card active but use an European e-SIM for data.
Hoping someone can give me an accurate answer about receiving texts. Thanks in advance.

I am using my phone with the Fizz SIM and the local eSIM in Europe all the time when I am there. I configure my phone to use the eSIM as default, the only problem that my battery is draining a bit faster

That doesn't seem correct. One physical SIM and the other e-SIM. I've understood that this can be done, using the e-SIM for data.

I don't know what phone are you using, but in order to select which SIM using for data
Android: Settings > Network & internet > SIM Card > Data service network > Set your preferred SIM card
Iphone: Settings > Cellular > Cellular DATA and select the SIM to use
You can do this for the voice too

Thank you. I know that information. I am hoping someone who has actually used a FIZZ SIM and an e-SIM in Europe can tell me if the texts/SMS worked while in Europe. But I do appreciate your response

Thanks. So it sounds like it works. Did you have to buy anything from FIZZ or have any funds in your "Wallet" for the incoming texts to work? I'm just concerned about banking apps and the silly two-factor authentication that we are forced to use these days

No, I don't and didn't have any money in Fizz's wallet, and I didn't buy any add-on, since I have the European eSIM to use, which also gives me free calls to Canada. The incoming SMS are free with Fizz all around the world.

Can you tell me which e-SIM you chose that also gave you calling please? While it is unlikely that we would make many calls having the ability to phone our hotel or for taxis would be great. All or almost all calls would be within the country we will be in (Greece). Our past SIM cards all provided us with a European number for calls but I haven't yet used an e-SIM.
Thanks in advance
