hello I will be travelling to the united states i have purchased a data add on for the usa, in order for the data add on to work do I have to turn on roaming?

As @Jess_i88b6 already suggested you have to turn on the roaming feature on your phone.. that's it

yes you have to activate it
restart your phone back to usa
