Paid for 400 mb plan but only getting a quarter of that, whyyyyyy?

Yesterday at 10 AM, I checked to see what speed I'm getting and it's 94 mbs even though we're paying for and supposed to get 400 mbs. I thought it was a fluke so I decided to check again just now and sure enough it's still 94 mbs.

I rest the modem, unplugged all cables and replugged after a few minutes but no changes.

I don't know how long this issue has been happening because I don't check the download speed often but the reason I went with cable was the presumed stability of the network and speed.

Very tiring having this issue.

    Hi @trapa

Can you check the cable category and also the led on the ethernet port or in the computer to be sure that the link was negotiated at 1Gbits

Each LAN port’s yellow LED glows when the connection on the relevant port’s is at 1Gbps, and its green LED glows when the connection is at 10/100Mbps.

    hi

did you check the speed using the wifi or an Ethernet cable?

I believe the problem is the wifi

if you have the fizz application you can test the speed with it, since the app will test the speed from the modem

Sorry I did not indicate clearly that I am using a hard wired pc, not wifi.

Can you please be more specific as to where I'm supposed to be looking for these indicators? Do you mean physically look at ports or settings on the modem's page?

    Thank you.

I just moved my pc's Ethernet cable from switch port 6 to port 2 and my speed shot up to to 420 mbs!
