It's a possibility, but connection to my laptop is working with this cable, only power supply failed. Pixels are very touchy with cables.
Pixel 6a second chance / cable replacement MUST be USB C PD
I ordered a Pixel 6a second Chance, i received it fast and in good shape, but the USB C cable in the box was not the original one. My phone did not charge at all.
I loose a lot of time to understand what was wrong, and i didn't suspect the cable initially, because it was new in a sealed box (provided by Fizz but not the "google one").
Long story short: FIZZ needs to provide USBC C PD cable, certified PD (power delivery) is critical here far a pixel!! Else it simply doesn 't work.

Nice of you to share your problem and the proper solution! Unfortunately you are right... pixels are very sensitive to the quality of PD cables
