Posts: 21 ✭✭

Hi Fizz,

The internet connection is working now, today is my first day as a customer of FIZZ.

I'm trying to setup DDNS, after provide everything (default@duckdns.org) and click button 'Save Changes', it returns error:

-----------------

[ERROR]

Please fill in the DDNS form !

Am I missing something ?

Thanks.

    @Lei On my knowledge you don't have any telnet or ssh

    Regarding the DDNS is your provider on the list?

    Hi @Lei

    Probably you missed some information, can you post an image, deleting the informations

    And other question: does the modem provide telnet interface (telnet 192.168.0.1 does not work.).

    Try to use public dns?

    Google 8.8.8.8 & 8.8.4.4

    Try a full reset of the modem:

    ...if in doubt you can always contact support: https://fizz.ca/en/support

    The DDNS is not a DNS is a dynamic DNS different story

    @Lei

    You should also have the service provider as custom, can you try to use it and put this format on the custom field

    https://www.duckdns.org/update?domains={YOURVALUE}&token={YOURVALUE}

    @Jess_i88b6 not sure I understand it, no option 'custom' as a service provider, is it what you mean ?

    I'm using duckdns.org for my previous modem, it's working fine, it's ok to switch to another one if some of them in the list are free, any suggestions ? thanks.

    @Lei

    Yes I meant that

    For curiosity can you try to set a dyndns.org with fake informations on the modem to see if you can save it

    Try 'dyndns.org' with fake data:

    And then get error: "Failed connect to DDNS server, please wait a moment and try again."

    Then I try 'duckdns' again, get same error:

    At least it seems to try to save them with dyndns, since they tried them

    @Jess_i88b6 The settings get stored, but always error:

    Failed connect to DDNS server, please wait a moment and try again.

    is it possible that is modem issue ?

    Is the 'Host Name' a domain name on duckdns.org, e.g. leiyang.duckdns.org. ? @Jess_i88b6

    Didn't you take the Fizz modem? It's easy to configure and no charge no activation fee.

    Any news on this?

    I have the same issue.

    I think I understand the source of the bug. The form takes username/password for every ddns except duckdns.

    The username/passwords fields are shown/hidden depending on service provider selected.

    But when we hit save, it checks for username/password (even for duckdns), if you fill them for any other provider and then change for duckdns, it sends username/password so the error is different, it will fail the connection after few seconds.
