According to Fizz yes. I got an email from Fizz recently and here is an excerpt of the content

There are various badges that exists for gifting data: 1, 5, 10 and 25 gifts will give you badges. The bigger the badge, the bigger the points that comes with it.

Exact, you will earn points, but only at some milestones... 1-5-10-25 gifts... So, give only 500 Mo at the time !
