Keep in mind however, that you do need to have a basic Data plan to be able to receive data.
You cannot send a data gift to:
. People who are not Fizz members
. Fizz members with no data plan
. Fizz members who have designated themselves incognito

Yes, Fizz data upgrades do not require a data plan.
Quite useful when you need to chat with Fizz, on the road.
