New user - All devices work except for laptop

Hello,

When running the network diagnostic, I get the following message:

"Your computer appears to be correctly configured, but the device of resource (DNS server) is not responding".

I get the same message using Fizz's own wireless and my Eero mesh. All my other devices work using both wireless.

On my Teksavvy modem, the internet works on all devices, including the laptop (I still have the connection enabled).

I scanned through the solutions and found nothing fixing my issue.

Regards

    Hi

can you check the ethernet configuration in your computer, probably you configure static IPs for the DNS

    Hi!

It looks like you have a different configuration for your laptop.

Do you use a VPN on this particular machine?

Have you tried using another browser ? Some browsers or extensions (like an Adblocker) can block some legit DNS requests.

You may also have an antivirus that can interfere with DNS. Try disabling it temporarily to check if it's the issue.

    Thanks !

Maybe the laptop doesn't support band steering, have you tried disabling it in the router? Maybe the laptop has some fixed gateway or DNS configured that doesn't work with the new provider.

    It could be many things.
