Can I receive perks if I don't have data in my plan?

I have been told that I can't receive any unused data from sonebody else if I don't have data already on my plan. Does a bonus count as data in my plan as it comes back every month? Can I receive data from a perk that a friend would give me? I a bit confuse here! Thank for helping me guys!

Non bonus do not count as data in your plan, since you do not pay for it. Moreover, if we are following the rule, the bonus are not suppose to work, but they do
"Since an upgrade boosts your monthly plan, your plan must include that service in the first place for that upgrade to work. Say for example you receive mobile data upgrade: your plan has to include mobile data for you to enjoy an upgrade consisting of mobile data."

Normally, you can get perk from a Fizz's friend .
But for the moment, it's impossible. Fizz has blocked this option for 1 month.

Unfortunately you can't receive perks at the moment! But you can receive data, though.13

No, unfortunately you can't. You need to have data included in your plan. My advise would be to add 1GB and the you can use your upgrades as well. Perks should be able to work though.

No Melissa, a bonus alone does not count as a plan with data.13

Usually you can receive bonus perk like the 1gb data gifted buy fizz for Xmas. Wait until we can give it back7
