My phone is heating up when I am using Lte data instead of wifi . Why?
I was using Lte data this days at home cause the internet wifi service was down. I used the phone for regular things like email, youtube. After 2 hours of using I realize the phone was very very warm. I turn it off completely for half an hour and start it again. After 2 hours of using had the same warm body and I turn it off again.
Is this normal or my phone has something wrong?

Hi Kokoboko
The phone is adapting the power with the signal level which is stronger compared to the WiFi, this can be an explication
Moreover, using the phone for 2 hours, you also have display adding to that, the data usage modify the modulation too
For sure every phone is different, therefore, are like computer one processor can heat more then an other for example, one can dissipate better13 -
I don’t know what phone you have but yes after two hours of screen on an continuous use, the phone will heat up depending on the task you are doing.11

Hi kokoboko,
Yes, using a phone for more than two hours straight can heat it up.
Than, depend on what phone and case you're using, it can affect de heat.
Finally, if you're using your Data for long time, because of the power of signal that is stronger than others (LTE), it will wam your phone too, especially if your using it as a router.
Hope it will help you!
Good luck10 -

What type of phone do you have? And how old is it? If you do a 2 hours call, or browse on the internet for 2 hours, it sounds normal that the phone heats up. However, if it warms up just because it is connected to the LTE network, it might be an hardware problem of the phone.7

When you use wifi you find your phone is not warm when doing the same thing?
What phone?
Your phone might use more power for cellular tx, the cell pa gets warm, and heats the phone.
Most likely normal anyways...2
