Can anyone tell me if a router is better than wifi extender to pair with Fizz modem ?
I have problems in my home with reception and i need something to make it work in other rooms.
Also some examples of brands and models not to expensive?
I need clear examples not “any” will work bla bla bla
Thank you

Hi Victor
You are better off with a router than a wifi extender.
Asus make good routers, with more functionality compared to the Fizz Modem
This one is not bad Asus RT-AC68U, but you can take linksys, tplink, dlink or others
Here is the guide to set it up with the Fizz modem: https://fizz.ca/en/faq/how-can-i-use-my-own-wi-fi-router-fizz9 -
I think you will be better off with a router too. I had good experiences with Netgear routers. Anything over 80 should be fine.7

If you have no luck with a router, I have a Wifi extender that works pretty well. It’s from Aigitan (model CA WN529W2). You can find it on Amazon form 40$, worst case you can return it if you will be not happy with it. Hope this helps!7

Buy a Mesh wifi instead of a extender. No worth the price...2

Hi Victor. I'm personally using this one: https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B07ZSDR49S/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
It works very well and the price 90 CAD is perfect! Try it!2 -
I agree with Fizzy. I'd get a very good router and would disable the modem's wi-fi. You'll get a faster and more reliable signal.1
