Do they work well for you? What do you like or dislike about it?

If you want to watch a movie with up to 10 friends, I have found that Scener works well.
Scener is fantastic! It works as a google chrome extension and you can watch the same movie of different platforms (netflix, amazon, hulu, disney+, hbo max, etc).13 -

Hi Fizzy, we did use Zoom for Christmas and it was fine! I’m with Fizz for internet and the connection was good for the 3 hours family meeting!!!! I will sure have a look at scener, thanks for the suggestion!14

So, I did a Zoom call with my family back home. Not the same but better than nothing. It worked well for the most part and the internet kept up great with the demand with no lag or outages.
I used FaceTime primarily to chat with my friends.
The obvious disadvantages are the lack of social contact but I guess that‘s the time we are in right now.

i used zoom and facetime on christmas. We also also chatted on phone.
i use Fizz internet (60MBPS) and it worked well.11 -

Well, the only one I can think of is „Netflixparty“ for Netflix. It only works on chrome and with Netflix but at least everybody has a live view and can stop the movie if necessary. Also there is „Watchparty“ but I personally never used it.9

I'm old fashion guy and using only FB Messenger . Also, for my parents in Europe (over 75) its easier and not confusing...We have sometimes delays but 99% of the time is ok. For the internet I just switched from Carrytel to Fido. I'm very happy with Fizz mobile and I'm doing research for Fizz internet.
My kids are using Zoom at the online school system now and they like it. Also one of them is using Facetime a lot.
Each generation has their own favorite apps and that is a good thing.

I don't think that FB-Massenger is old fashioned. I use it regularly to try to stay in touch with friends. Nowadays most people use either WhatsApp or Messenger. I can wholeheartedly recommend Fizz Internet. We have it in our apartment and it works great. Also the customer service is much better than Fido's.

Messenger, as most of my friends and family have Facebook. Also it's the simplest one for oldies (technology-challenged) to use! 7
