The referral code can be used only when you open your first plan under a specific account, you can not add it later.

Try to talk with the Fizz customer support, to see what it is your best option.

But yes, if you close your plan and you open a new account your can use the referral code without problem.

You can contact Fizz support by chat, from 8 AM to 9 PM everyday:

1- Connect to your Fizz account by clicking « Login » in the top right corner at fizz.ca
2- Click on this link: https://fizz.ca/en/faq/whats-my-rewards-program
3- The green chat bubble should appear after a few seconds in the bottom right corner.

"If a person forgets to enter the referral code when subscribing, they’re unfortunately out of luck. We cannot retroactively apply a referral code."

If you want to referral credit, you will have to cancel the appointment (you will be refunded). Then start a new plan/account and both you and your friend will receive $50 credit once you have paid your second bill. Your credit will be applied to your third bill, and any leftover amount will be applied to future bills.

If you open a new account for mobile with an email address which is different from the one on your internet account, you can use your friend's referral code. No need to cancel the existing account then.
You are not eligible to use a referral code if you add a service to an existing account with at least one active plan in thé account.
