do the sims work with old phones?

I have an old phone i would like to use, it uses the big standard sim card, will it be compatible?

    Big sim is okay, however the phone might not work: check Fizzy's link!

    There are three different sizes you can chose from when you receive your sim, the sim will most probably fit but your phone might not be compatible with the fizz network. For iPhones, the 5s is the oldest you can use. For androids the phones sold in the past 5 years are compatible. Please inform me of which one you have.

    i have an iphone 4s so probably wont work.
