Is not clear if Fizz launch a home phone service and these are special home phones going with Fizz, or is about cell phones. In the latter case, what is to test?
In both cases, what kind of phones are available right now (model, mark) to be tested...

This Fizz offer is for mobile phones.
Fizz is offering both iPhone and Android phones.
From what I understand, it is their first time selling phones.
So they are starting with a beta test (to work with smaller numbers and to receive feedback on the process) before releasing it to all customers.
They also intend to add a financing option. I suppose this will be one of the next phase of the beta test.16 -

I understand that for financing they need a beta testing, but for the phones? In Fizz network are already all kind of mobile, no restriction, and they already know what is working or not. Are they specially configured for Fizz?16 -

I would believe the phones sold should already be unlocked and compatible with Fizz network.
I think the beta test is more to work out the logistics (site infrastructure, your rewards, customer service, delivery, returns, etc)
Here is what Fizz writes:
"Buying a phone, the Fizz way: welcome to the beta test.
Your participation as a beta tester is appreciated. In exchange for your time to test our business processes and answer two short surveys, you have the chance to buy a phone at a very attractive price. Ready? Let’s go!"15 -

Thanks for the response. I signed up the other day... been with Fizz since the early beta days but still haven't heard back. My Essential PH-1 is feeling a little war-torn atm so I am hoping to check out Fizz's inventory soon7

Yes you are right. All phones sold in Canada now should be unlocked
or they can be unlocked at no charge.5 -

Thank you for let us know what phones are in offer. Yes, they have quite a large offer, as you say, from best : Iphone, Samsung and Google.
Do you by chance know some of the "special" prices for respective phones? Just to compare with the usual market. I'm not in urgent need, but if the price is "very, very" special, I may make an effort to buy one.
So, can you give me some examples of prices?

Concerning your "assume some priority will be given to older clients" I think is false, as Evan said he is "with Fizz since the early beta days but still haven't heard back", so, IMO we are all in the same priority, no favors apply.6
