Is it possible to have a pay-per-usage SIM card, without any monthly plan?.. I just need a telephone number to be able to answer my door intercom.
If the pay-per-usage is not available, I would like to know if it's possible to add a telephone number to my internet plan (30Mbps).

The minimum plan is 10 + 0.49 frais 911 + TX, plus l’utilisation à la carte

Hi Elena
It's possible not all telephone services will work with your door intercom. First you should inquire with your landlord to find out which telephone services will work with your door telecom.
- Voip home phone
- Voip calling app
- mobile cell (in this case, you can subscribe to Fizz mobile plan)

BTW what device were you planning to use to answer the door intercom? Is it one or more of these:
- cell phone
- home telephone
- computer / laptop
- tablet
.
Personally I prefer the cell phone plan option as I can also use the phone while I am out (to access the internet, etc) and people are able to contact me.11 -

At the moment I already have a mobile plan, with a BC code number, which i want to keep. I just need another number with a local code (QC) because my landlord has changed the intercom, and only afterwards he realized that it worked only with local numbers. I am not sure which device to use with it, if it can work with my laptop will be the best for me so I dont need another mobile, also because I plan to use that number exclusively for the intercom and so I need it only when i am home.11 -

The minimum plan is 10$ and only includes a phone number. Then, you can add money in your wallet and pay per usage.8

Yes you can have a local number with Fizz, you will need to pay the minimum plan fee ($10.49+tax) and pay-per-use fees. You will need another phone device unless your current phone supports dual sim or e-sim.
Another option is to use a free voip app (like textnow, fongo, etc) while you are connected to wifi or mobile data. They are free and these apps can be installed on a variety of devices. You can inquire with your landlord to see if these apps will work with the door intercom.
BTW as your family and friends already have your BC number, they can contact you directly when visiting instead of using the door buzzer.7 -
