So I am planning to live in St. Catharines near Niagara falls which is in the coverage zone but not in the subscription zone. What does that mean? Does that mean that I can still have all the benefits of coverage there and the subscription zone is useless or can I not get everything I want outside of the subscription zone. I don't understand.

You cannot use Fizz phone for more then 3 months outside the subscription zone
Therefore you cannot have it7 -
As Mike said you cannot use it. I would recommend Public Mobile for your area if you are looking for inexpensive service.7

In your area you can have other offer. Fizz is better if you live in Quebec6

Ben,
Sorry,
As you are living outside the green subscription zone of Fizz, you cannot have a mobile plan.5 -
You need to be in the subscription zone to have fizz. The coverage zone is for visitors that go there, but live in Quebec (within the subscription zone).4

Fizz have a map to know that information:
https://fizz.ca/en/coverage
The green zone is where you residence should be. The red zone is the territory which fizz will work. But like others said, you might be block if you stay in the red zone after a few months.3 -
